Salvia nemorasa 'Ostfriesland' Blue 9cm / 2L
Salvia ‘Ostfriesland’ is a compact, free-flowering variety that produces masses of violet-blue flower spikes from early summer to autumn. Its neat habit and aromatic foliage make it ideal for the front of borders, attracting bees and butterflies in abundance.
Pair it with Geranium ‘Rozanne’ and Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’ for a soft yet striking combination, and frame the display with Taxus baccata Balls for structure and contrast that lasts year-round.
• Sunlight: Full sun or very light shade
• Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil
• Position: Ideal for borders, gravel gardens, and pollinator planting
• Hardiness: Hardy perennial
• Height & Spread: Around 40–50cm tall and 30–40cm spread
A reliable, compact Salvia that adds rich colour, texture, and a touch of formality to summer planting schemes.
