Thalictrum delavayi, commonly known as Chinese Meadow Rue, is a tall, elegant perennial that brings a soft, airy charm to borders and cottage gardens. In mid to late summer, it produces masses of small, lilac purple flowers with yellow centres that float above delicate, fern-like foliage on tall, wiry stems giving the effect of a cloud of colour dancing in the breeze.
Despite its light, graceful appearance, it’s surprisingly hardy and easy to grow, thriving in sun or partial shade with moist, well-drained soil. Perfect for adding height, texture, and movement to your planting schemes.
