Gaura 'Sparkle White' is a graceful and airy perennial, producing a cloud of pure white, star-shaped flowers that dance on slender stems from early summer to autumn. Its delicate, butterfly-like blooms and bushy, compact habit make it a fantastic choice for borders, containers, and wildlife-friendly gardens. Drought-tolerant and easy to grow, it provides months of movement and charm in the garden.

  • Soil: Prefers light, well-drained soil and thrives in sandy, chalky, or loamy conditions. Tolerant of dry soils.
  • Position: Best in full sun for maximum flowering. Ideal for borders, gravel gardens, and patio containers.
  • Height & Spread: Grows to around 45-60cm in height and spreads up to 50cm, forming a neat, bushy clump.
  • Flowering Season: Blooms continuously from early summer to autumn, providing long-lasting interest.
  • Wildlife Benefits: Attracts bees and butterflies, adding life and movement to the garden.

Gaura 'Sparkle White' is a low-maintenance, free-flowering plant that pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses, salvias, and other sun-loving perennials. Deadheading spent blooms will encourage further flowering, while cutting back in late autumn helps maintain a tidy shape for the following season.

More information:

This plant is a herbaceous perennial. Herbaceous perennials die back below ground level each autumn, then fresh new growth will appear in the spring. Dark spots can  appear on the foliage of your Gaura at certain times in the year, please be assured that this is not a disease but a response to cold temperatures.  Gaura will still be dispatched if it has dark spot as this is a natural response to cold temperatures.

Many garden designers recommend planting Gaura in groups of three for a balanced, cohesive look. It helps the plants stand out together and creates a lovely flow in your garden. But don't worry—this plant also looks great on its own or in smaller groupings!
